Have you noticed the new trend among your neighbors of coating the concrete areas surrounding their pools? In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, pool surround coatings are highly practical. We know that choosing the right type of coating for this application is not always easy. Don’t worry about it—our advisors are trained and experienced in recommending the best coating products on the market. Would you like your pool surround coating to complement your backyard landscaping? No need to worry about that either—with more than 1,000 colors to choose from, you’ll find the pool surround coating you truly want at PolySurface!
For your pool surround coating, you can choose an elastomeric membrane or epoxy. The most important thing is that the finish be slip-resistant. Coating your pool surround helps protect the concrete from corrosion caused by pool chemicals and chlorine. Don’t worry about the surrounding plants—the products offered by PolySurface meet LEED certification standards. Whatever your needs, we can advise you on the pool surround coating product that best suits you the most.
Epoxy is a more affordable choice than elastomeric coatings. It will add a touch of shine to your pool surround. However, exposure to sunlight and the elements can cause it to yellow and peel. To ensure your complete satisfaction, PolySurface offers a 5-year adhesion warranty and a 1-year warranty on the color of the epoxy.
Elastomeric coatings such as Polyurea (Polyaspartic) or polyurethane are the ideal solution for coating a pool surround. This product is weather-resistant because it is flexible. It is also very comfortable underfoot, similar to a rubber mat. Available in a variety of colors, Polyurea does not fade. It is therefore the perfect product for withstanding the changing seasons while maintaining its appeal. In addition, PolySurface’s exterior elastomeric membrane comes with a 10-year adhesion warranty and a lifetime warranty against discoloration.
